SO Easy Crockpot Applesauce

SO Easy Crockpot Applesauce | Making the Most Blog

Okay, so I just have to say, first of all, that this is one of the easiest recipes you’ll ever use.  I’m not kidding.

Now that that’s said…

…we were given free reign of a box of apples the other day.  Actually, we are fortunate enough to have this opportunity just about every week, but Princess Anna has a habit of eating the apples before I can make any applesauce out of them!  This time, I snagged six just for applesauce making.

Now when I was younger, applesauce seemed to be such a tedious, long task.  Maybe it’s just because I had no concept of time, but I hated it.  And I didn’t even like the finished product.  So I was a little leary of trying this recipe at first.  But I was so happy with how it turned out!  So without further ado…here’s how it works:

SO Easy Crockpot Applesauce | Making the Most BlogWhat you need:

6 apples
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar (give or take…1/2 c. can be quite sweet)

What to do:
  1. Peel the apples.
  2. Cut and core the apples.  (If you have an apple corer, this is a sinch!)
  3. Toss the apples in the crockpot with water and sugar
  4. Cook on high for 4 hours.  Stir occasionally.
  5. When finished cooking, mush remaining apples (I just used the spoon I was stirring with); then store them!

Sooooo easy!  And yummy!  Honestly, I think it’s comparable to store-bought applesauce.  Try it, and let me know what you think!
