Work-in-Progress Wednesday: Craziness

Work-in-Progress Wednesday | Making the Most Blog

This week at Making the Most, I’m working on multiple projects.  I’m in the process of writing two upcoming reviews, at least four recipes, and two parenting posts.  As I write this, I am actually writing by hand, as my hosting site has been down twice today for hours each time.

This week, we have also put together those same four recipes and babysat my nephews.  I’ll be doing some side work and having a meeting, picking up Rapunzel from her week at church camp, having a friendly campfire, and having a small birthday party for Princess Anna.

Add to that VBS, regular day-to-day chores and errands, and it’s a busy week.  I was hoping to get a lot done this week while Rapunzel’s at camp, but it’s not looking like I’ll get much done out of the ordinary.

I hope you’re accomplishing more than I am this week.  What are you working on?

  1. I’m not sure it’s possible for someone to accomplish more than you are this week, Whitney! But it does seem we are the same page a little bit: I’m doing simultaneous “Adventure Camp” at church (like VBS on steroids…170 kids packing out our tiny sanctuary in the country) and Band Camp for my marching clarinetist and 80 of her cohorts. (How many freezer pops DOES it take to ice down a marching band during the only heat wave of summer?) I, too, am getting ready for a birthday party for my Anna, and I have about 6 blog posts in varying stages of progress. No doubt you are accomplishing much more than it feels like you are…blessings as you keep trying to do the next thing!

    1. Oh my goodness! You DO have a lot going on! I always like being able to look back at the finished product when all of the craziness is over and say, “I did that.” Blessings right back to you in all that you’re doing!

  2. well, let’s see…in my world – i actually swept my entire house – did some food shopping…

  3. Summer is a busy time, for sure! I find that I get more done when I’m busier. Funny how that works, isn’t it? 🙂

  4. Writing by hand is not something I do too often anymore. I recently wrote in my journal, and I realized how messy my handwriting has become! 🙂 My days are always full with taking care of the kiddies, so a lot of things on the to do list don’t get checked off … but at the end of the day, I know I accomplished what the Lord had planned for me that day.

    1. That’s a great thought. Often, to start the day, I ask God to help me accomplish all that He’s set out for me, but I never stop to recognize that I’ve accomplished everything He wanted me to do for that day.

  5. I am working on a Zumba class for adults and one for kids, working part time but almost every night at the gym cleaning machines (mostly), blogging, homeschooling, and keeping my house clean. My plate is full! I also have a book to work on, and I’m working on some fitness related certifications. Needless to say, I don’t have any spare time.
